Application of nitrogen fertilizer

Applicable crops: Especially suitable for rice, wheat, cotton, etc. Research has shown that under equal nitrogen levels, the application of ammonium chloride to rice increases yield (tillering 4.6 days faster and effective number of panicles higher) compared to urea.

Mechanism of action:

Chloride ions inhibit nitrifying bacteria, reduce the conversion of ammonium nitrogen (NH ₄⁺) to nitrate nitrogen (NO ∝⁻), and decrease nitrogen loss (the experiment showed that after 28 days, the nitrate nitrogen content was only 1/3 of urea).

Acidizing soil activates phosphorus and zinc elements to prevent rice seedlings from stiffening.Limitations

Chlorine free crops are prohibited: tobacco, potatoes, citrus, tea trees, etc. Chloride ions can reduce product quality (such as reduced combustibility of tobacco)

Avoid application in saline alkali land: Chloride ions may exacerbate soil salinization

Prohibit the use of fertilizers/rice fields: high concentrations of chlorine affect seed germination and seedling growth
